Extra Curricular
Children’s University
Children’s University is an innovative program that engages children in exciting, out-of-school learning opportunities to increase their chances for educational achievement and rewards them for taking responsibility for their own learning. It is a partnership between the University of Adelaide and primary schools. Children collect evidence of their participation in extra-curricular activities throughout the year and are rewarded for their efforts through a graduation ceremony at Adelaide University at the end of the school year. This is available for students in Years 3-6.
Choir
Students in Years 5/6 can join the school choir. The choir rehearse throughout the year before performing at the Primary Schools’ Festival of Music event in September.
Instrumental Music
Students in Years 5/6 have the opportunity to participate in small group instruction in guitar or percussion (drum) with a specialist teacher from the Department for Education. This involves one lesson per week for the school year.
SAPSASA
Students in Years 4-6 have the opportunity to participate in a range of sports and compete in carnivals and events with other schools.
